XM-177 RIS Laser Light Spring Airsoft Rifle

I've had this rifle for about 3 months under heavy usage for indoor skirmishing and so far I have not had one problem with it. I suppose the foregrip can come loose if you continuesly hit the deck with it or if you balance your weight on it, but then again, that will happen to it's real life counter part as well. It's all comes down to taking care of your rifle like you would in real combat situations.

I've modified the spring in the receiver by simply searching for a match in the local hobby stores and managed to get a better speed with an average of 280 fps using .20gram BB's (avg of 10 shots tested with a chronometer). The max accurate distance within a 2 inch radius is about 30 feet after that it loses felocity and accuracy which is the only draw back of this rifle.

I also suggest mounting the laser infront of the foregrip on the rail that way you have an even more accurate spot in a vertical line (at least it's lined up flush with your visor/marker). If...Read more

I bought this gun for 15 pounds (english money), although mine didn't have the mock scope or laser sight. However, because my friend has the same gun with these "Accesories" and i have used it aswell, i will review those aswell.

Frankly, this gun is amazing for the price. It has a range of about 35 meters at a stretch, which is okay for laying down some covering fire. Its effective range is around 25 at most.
The magazine is hi cap, it holds 16 which is good for a spring rifle, but the magazine has a BB resevoir, which holds a good many BB's. I was pleased to find that my gun had the extendable stock. In the extended position, it is good for sniping at around 15-20 meters. From 20 meters away, you can hit a torso sized object with ease. The closed position is best for indoors, or if you arnt wanting amazing (but still good) accuracy, but you want to lay covering fire down. I recently bought this item about 2 weeks ago and not one problem so far. What I love about it is the accuracy with about 270-290 fps with .12 gram bb's. It is great for sniping, I recently bought a bipod which is great with the handle and the blue light. I've had 5 airsoft guns from neonfire,UHC and ICS this is the most reliable one I've had and the most powerfull. I highly recommend this gun to anyone who wants a powerful, accurate and reliable airsoft gun at an affordable price.
