This is a really great BB rifle. It fires very well and with slight mod is very accurate and pretty powerful. You need to insert a small wedge under the rear sight to raise it up. Made a small tapered peice out of plastic in about 5 minutes. Just over 1/8 inch thick. At 50 plus feet I can consistantly put all shots into a 3 inch circle. For a BB gun that is outstanding. The 88 gram air cylender last a very long time. Just put a tiny drop of grease on the top, tighten all the way then back off a bit less than half a turn. This is the very best and most fun BB gun, pistol or rifle, I ever had. If it wasn't for the small rear sight mod I would have given it 5 stars. You could just put a small stick under the rear sight to work. It's that simple.

I bought this Umarex EBOS ["Electronic Burst Of Steel" -- now you know! ;-) ] product for the identical reason I bought the Umarex "Steel Storm" --- pure fun! And I'll immediately fess up by saying that the user set 'full burst' feature [4 rapid fire BB's in the 'Steel Storm' but, ahhhh, 4 or "8" rapid fire BB's in the EBOS!] simply appealed to me. See my review of the Umarex 'Steel Storm' but if the 'Steel Storm' is a blast, and it 'is' exactly that, the EBOS gun by the same manufacturer, Umarex, is in the same category! Pure fun to use. Perhaps a blast and a half! That all said, let's get down to cases.

The EBOS has a user select lever for firing either 1 BB, 4 BB's rapid fire or 8 BB's rapid fire which is to say the 4 and 8 BB 'bursts' are fully automatic. It has an "electronic trigger" and 'that' is the reason for the required [but not supplied] six AA batteries. Neat little gun. Not very powerful, but fun to shoot. The major drawback is the electronic firing. It requires 6 AA batteries to operate. Unfortunately, the batteries are drained before the 88g CO2 runs out and the gun will not fire without them. And these were Duracell batteries, not off brand. That gets pretty expensive. The price of batteries is definitely something to figure in when deciding which gun to buy. I wish I had known before hand, because I would have chosen differently. UPDATE: This gun only lasted 2 weeks past the 90 day warranty.
