Umarex 227-3010 H&K Replica Soft Air

I have 2 boys ages 10 and 8. This gun is great cause it does not hurt when you get hit! (ALWAYS USE EYE PROTECTION!!) It shot at about 105 ft/sec with a .20 gram bb (I chronoed it) so I recommend using the .12 ones. I have had it for a few months. It does not jam. It shoots every time. 50 feet easily. Once in a while it shoots off to the side a bit. It looks cool and its fun.

If you are going into a battle you might want something a bit more powerful.

PS - do not let your kid shoot an empty clip in full auto mode for 10 seconds when you first open the package. I have bought 3 of these and the 2nd one I bought broke like that. I guess the full charge of fresh batteries and first time firing was too much for the plastic gears. The other two have worked fine. Full auto works great just don't keep shooting endlessly. This clip empties in about 3 seconds. Have not had to replace the batteries yet. It seems to be easy on them.

It looks great and fits good. It is all plastic and is very light. However, because it fits so well it's fun to shoot it. The blow-back and full-auto are very entertaining.
I tried to shoot 0.12 bbs and it jammed right away. When I tried to unclog the bbs from the barrel a small rubber piece fell out of the gun and it wouldn't work anymore. I disassembled the gun and put the little rubber gasket back in at the back of the barrel between the barrel and the piston head and it's good as new.
It uses little electricity so the batteries last for a while. In full-auto after long use you can smell and feel the heat from the small electric motor, so alternate from full to semi.
Overall, great gun for small areas in a garage, small back yard, or in a room so it's convenient for a quick practice to hold you over until you hit the great outdoors. Treat it gently and it will return many hours of fun.

Just got it today and shot a few clips. this gun has my vote. I wish it's a bit cheaper though.
