TSD Tactical WE 1911 Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol with Caspian Trademark (Port 5.1 Slide)

This pistol works pretty well after breaking in/polishing components. There is flashing from the die casting process that needed to be removed from the slide lock before the slide would lock back on an empty mag. I need to tear down the grip of the gun to make the grip safety work. Accuracy is just ok due to loose fitting parts in the slide (outer barrel to slide, inner barrel to outer barrel). The accuracy is still good enough to hit a man sized target at 50ft. Gas consumption is about 3 out of 5, 5 being very gas efficient; you can go through 2-2.5 mags full of bb's before you run out of gas. Trigger pull is great just like a real 1911, it has a crisp clean break with no creep. Fit and finish is pretty good. The only obvious thing wrong that I can see when the gun is assembled is the polishing on the hammer; there is light pitting on the sides that was never polished off at the factory. I received the item today, and am pleasantly surprised at the feel of it. It is indeed full metal, with a lot of weight in the grip. It seems to operate smoothly. The coloration is slightly off from the photo posted here, but that is not a negative, where it appears "flat" or even perhaps a bit plastic, in your hand this appears to be a faithful replica (as far as it can go by law and by function). It truly is a heavy pistol. It can easily be mistaken for real.

All built in safety mechanisms work.

The device has a flip switch safety that seems to easily come out which could become an issue with rough field play.

The orange "marking" paint on the site is missing, as mentioned in the other review.

The tip is painted orange, but is made to have an attachment screwed onto it.

The manual is quite good, showing how to break the gun down.

I received my TSD 1911 a little over a month ago, and it is a fine piece of equipment. Very accurate, totally functional, weight and feel is exactly like a M1911. I would highly recommend this pistol to anyone who is learning to shoot a handgun, interested in honing one' marksmanship, plinking targets inside or outside, or just chasing vermin out of one' yard. It is fun and relatively inexpensive. Looks good, feels good and shoots great!
