Taurus M9 Airsoft Gas Blowback Gun SV

I was a bit leery, as this is the cheapest blowback airsoft handgun on Amazon that has any reasonable reviews.

I received it today and I have to say, I am very impressed.

I have been training with real handguns, and my goal was to purchase something to use for dry fire practice, to practice gun safety, and to run gun drills. Because of that, I wanted something that was as realistic as possible at an affordable price tag. This means it had to:
1. have a realistic weight as compared to a real handgun
2. have realistic dimensions and features
3. have moving parts that reflected a real handgun: safety, mag release, moving slide, slide lock and release.
4. experience recoil when fired (even though it would obviously never compare to the real thing)

Well, let me start this review by saying that this gun looks a lOT more realistic than the picture depicted. I was kind of iffy about buying this at first, because other reviews on various sites complained about a closed ejection port and a non locking slide, but they were both untrue. The Ejection port on the Taurus is open, and the slide does lock when there is no ammo in the mag. 1 thing, however, is that the orange tip blasted off whilst I was shooting, but some good 'ole crazy glue will fix that. All in all, a great gun. Shoots nice and looks nice. (PS, when you are loading the mag with gas, have the mag upside down, otherwise you'll get little to no gas)

From looking at pictures and reviews, I thought this was going to be just an OKAY gun. But when I got it, it was exactly exactly what I expected lol. I didn't like the fact that it didn't have an open ejection port, but I fixed it by cutting it open and sanding it down. It looks much better and looks more realistic. And the other thing that was a con was that it didn't have a slide catch when the mag was empty. But it doesn't really matter though. I love the fact that this is a great bargain for the fact that it's a gas blowback gun and It's pretty great quality. It's pretty strong for it's price. Box says about 310, I say its maybe 350. WEll overall, this is a great gun if you want it for the blowback or if you want a gas gun that runs on green gas for a great price.
