If you own an airsoft Thompson 1928 version, you are most likely to already owm one of these.
These are well-made hi-cap magazines, very good looking and full metal too.
I own two of these and have used them or a while, so I can summarize them as follows:
Pros:
- their look.
- very easy to refill (you don't even have to take'em off the gun as the loading window is on the right side) and the spring reloads soooo easily...
- full metal, very resistand to knocks.
Flaws:
- very (too?) heavy.
- 450 BBs only??? You've got to be kidding me! I opened it and found that only 1/4 of internal volume is used to store BBs: the rest is just unused and -no- you can't modify them as you would screw up the gears and springs.
- too expensive: $ 35-45 for just a cumbersome 450 BB mag is kind of stupid, unless you consider their building quality.
So what?
I only recommend getting it if you broke your original one (that one that came...Read more

Although the Cybergun Thompson Chicago AEG Drum Mag looks great on the outside, and the metal case makes it seem sturdy, it is not. It broke under very light use, within just a very short amount of time.
Inside the case, it is very poorly made, with mostly plastic parts to include plastic gears, rods, pellet raceway, etc. I cannot describe this as anything other than junk. I cannot recall being so thoroughly disappointed with a product or a transaction - a total waste of money.
After it broke, my son spent probably 20 hours trying to rebuild it or rig it in a way to get it work, all to no avail. This will end up being one of those lessons about "let the buyer beware."

This review is from: Soft Air Thompson Chicago Drum Magazine (Sports)
When it came it had a broken piece of plastic near the top where the magazine channel is. In turn it causes the metal faceplate to rotate one way however rather than creating the hassle of returning it have them give me free money er or more realistically just use some metal glue a very small dot so it doesn't rotate not to big of a deal just... annoying.
The quality< The outside construction is nearly all metal except the top magazine area is plastic as well as all or at least 99 percent of internal gears and everything is plastic.. It works quite well so far
annoying thing< I learned that it wont feed/fire the last 20sh bb's as there is not enough spring tention, supposedly thats the problem with all high caps so its really only holding about 430 bb's, kinda lame considering you can get a stick with 380 er i guess it would be 360 hah however I would of done that but I had amazon store credit thus i bought this...
It does look pretty sick and it...Read more
