The Colt 1911 was amazing. I bought it for my son for his birthday and he said it was the best birthday present he ever got which is saying something when you include an XBOX 360. I own an actual 1911 that my father gave to me, and the only difference is in the shape of the clip. The real and airsoft version weigh the same when they are unloaded, and the metal on the airsoft is very nice. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a love for airsoft guns.

Cons: Mostly steel construction with aluminium in some places. The black paint may scratch in some places over time. The gun would not accept stock Colt grips without modification (and I did not want to modify either the gun or my grips). The grips are removable, but not interchangeable with standard .45 ACP due to the accommodation made for the CO2 cartridge. The stock grips look fine, though they have a somewhat darker stain than the stock Colt grips. The gun seems to use a lot of CO2 for the "blowback" feature. I get about two clips worth of shooting (about 42 rounds total) before I need to replace the gas cartridge. The weapon breakdown is slightly different from the real thing, but still very similar. It would not accept a real flash suppressor because of slight machining differences. It's close enough that the supressor almost goes on, but one would need to file down the tab on the suppressor to about half of its height for a good fit.
