Sig Saurer's P229 is a 1:1 scale with blow back for ture life action. Shoots 383 feet per second and has a magazine capacity of 23 rounds. Full metal body for strength. You can adjust the hop-up for better accuracy.

A 1:1 scale replica of a Sig Sauer pistol, the P229 gas-powered pistol is remarkably authentic. Like all airsoft guns, the P229 fires small plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun via a gas blow-back mechanism. The advantage of the airsoft pistol, however, is that players can safely train, simulate, or play with the gun without fearing serious injury. The P229 looks, feels, weighs, and functions just like a real Sig Sauer firearm, but is built for casual recreation rather than weaponized use. In fact, the only way you can tell a real steel firearm from an airsoft pistol is the blazing orange tip and the BBs that fire when you pull the trigger. The P229 offers such features as a durable full metal body, a velocity of 354 feet per second (with 0.12-gram BBs) or 295 fps (with 0.2-gram BBs), a 40-foot range, and a magazine capacity of 23 BBs. The pistol also includes an adjustable hop-up for better accuracy.

Bought this with the intent as using this as a training complement to my actual Sig P229. While there's going to be obvious differences due the functional action of an airsoft, aside from the federally mandated orange tip this all-metal airsoft of the Sig P229 is a pretty convincing copy of the 9mm 229, at least from its shape. Deviations revolve around the fit and finish tolerances that clearly are not as precise as the real gun, compounded by plenty of rattles and play with the magazine and the slide action, and its weight is a bit light (especially noticeable when the real Sig's 15-round mag is full), but the overall balance and look still gives the user a reasonable feel for the actual gun.

Downsides are few, but they DO exist. Material selection isn't really much of a match, but it's probably no surprise considering the relative cost difference. The slide is slightly wider than that of the real 229, so rigid holsters like the particular Blackhawk Serpa I own don't fit...Read more

This is the most realistic airsoft gun that I own in terms of weight, feel and function. It is a lot of fun to shoot and is my favorite by far. However, this is the second one that I have owned. The first lasted about 6 months that then the barrel broke in a way that can't be repaired. Replacement parts are apparently not available so I purchased a second one. If this one breaks I will call it quits on this model.
