A 1:1 scale replica of a Sig Sauer pistol, the P226 gas-powered pistol is remarkably authentic. Like all airsoft guns, the P226 fires small plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun via a gas blow-back mechanism. The advantage of the airsoft pistol, however, is that players can safely train, simulate, or play with the gun without fearing serious injury. The P226 looks, feels, weighs, and functions just like a real Sig Sauer firearm, but is built for casual recreation rather than weaponized use. In fact, the only way you can tell a real steel firearm from an airsoft pistol is the blazing orange tip and the BBs that fire when you pull the trigger. The P226 offers such features as a durable full metal body, a velocity of 379 feet per second (with 0.12-gram BBs) or 295 fps (with 0.2-gram BBs), a 40-foot range, and a magazine capacity of 26 BBs. The pistol also includes an adjustable hop-up for better accuracy.

I agree with other reviews that the build quality of the gun is pretty good. Overall a great feel, but it just doesn't operate well at all because the gas leaks and it can't hold a charge. If you're just looking for a prop to hold and play with it's fine, but don't get it if you want any of the actual functionality of a gas blowback airsoft gun.

This airsoft gun is a great gun. The feeling of it when you hold it in your hand just 'fits.' It doesn't matter who you are, it fits and is comfortable.

Just to make it easy, here are the cons.
It would be a lot nice if the serials and logo were actually done by laser rather than ugly white text.
The orange tip is NOT removable unless you take a hacksaw to it and then smooth out the end.
The magazine for the gun has a really bad valve when you insert the gas can. It sprays out gas out.

I got this gun as my first GBB pistol. I am in love with sigs and am not yet 21, so this was an obvious choice. great price, reviews on the internet are not that bad, and its a SIG!
oh and for those wondering, it comes in the blue cardboard Sig branded box (Cybergun distributed), not the Sig branded plastic pistol case D;

First, the pros:
-The gun feels absolutely great in the hand.
-The frame is constructed of full metal, the hammer, the trigger, the barrel, EVERYTHING IS METAL!
-Overall the quality of the gun is great
-The build quality of the gun is great, the metal is tough, the paint nice (but too shiny), the feel great, everything is in the right place.
-The kick from the gun is GREAT!
-The sound the slide gives when cocked is just out of this world awesome
-Same goes for the magazine click (when inserted)
-The fact that it resembles the Sig in almost EVERY aspect is the best part!
