The plastic parts include the trigger and frame. Both are metal reinforced, no complaints. The hammer slowly goes back as you pull the trigger - unfortunately, it is actually just for show and constructed of cheap ABS, it does nothing in the mechanism and is pushed by the internals. The metal used is either unpolished aluminum or strong zinc alloy. Most of the weight is actually in the gun, but the magazine has a fair amount of weight as well due to its aluminum construction. The mechanism works like any umarex gun - the barrel gets pulled back, feeds a BB, etc.. While you could buy a nice gas blow back or two for this price, if you want some no nonsense gun with quality at a good price, then this is just fine. It seems that this gun has parts for a gas blow back version, possibly the KWC national match - since there is a slide release and beaver that, while nonfunctional, isn't molded in. Bought as birthday present for 13 year old brother, he loves it and has not broken it yet... which is saying a lot.

very cool very heavy very awesome approximation 110 shots on average.
15 round mag does not rattle as much as people say. its a little loud
but very accurate. there is a nice puff of smoke after each shot
