The G&G Combat Machine R16 is exactly what you want for a starter gun. The rate of fire is good and accompanied with the velocity (~330 feet per second) this gun is both affordable and painful. The delta ring is hard to pull in order to get the battery in but after a while it becomes easier but that is NOT a fault. The last thing you want is for that to rattle around or worse, pop off and allow the battery to fall out. The gearbox is full metal almost all of the gun is made from a high grade plastic but NOTE: This plastic is heavy and is stronger than most cheap grade aluminum you find in other standard "metal" airsoft guns. The magazine does rattle a little bit but it does not fall out and you barely notice it when you're using the gun. The gun also features an adjustable iron sight that is the same as the real weapon. Some of you may have seen my earlier review and I decided to change it. I love this gun. In my earlier review I realized I was expecting the equivalent of a sniper base and the fact is it just isn't. However what it is, is just awesome. As an assault weapon there is no better in that price range. The one thing you want to upgrade is the sights. I recommend a Leapers Red/Green dot sight.

Airsoft toy is wonderful and fun- I have no negitives about that part. I gave poor feedback for these guys over an, at the time, simi- understandable issue that left a family member without an on-time xmas present that I had to eventually go buy from another vendor(who had it to me the next day). Only after trying to contact AirSplat several times with minimal response, I left poor feedback on Amazon regarding MY CUTOMER EXPERIENCE and how I perceived it going down. Guess what?!...they called me within 30 minutes wanting to resolve the weeks-old issue( money back on non-shipped item was the end-game). They even offered to send me a 'free' bag of BB's to make up for the inconvenience, if only I took the poor feedback off Amazon that is could he pull it off by going to some manager-like person( Wait..Isn't that Bribery???).
