As a shotgun, it fires mini shells loaded with No. 9 lead shot. Delivery is a 12" pattern at 10 yds. At 600 F.P.S., tests show penetration is over 1/4" into 200-lb. compressed paper. As an air rifle, the Viper shoots a .22 cal. pellet up to 750 F.P.S. (with the included adapter). Summary: Air rifle shotgun 2008-07-30
Comment: Why didnt they think of this when I was a kid. I would have won all bb gun wars with this thing. This air gun is very fun and very easy to hit flying targets. Perfect for pest control.
