The Socom Tactical .177-caliber air rifle offers high-performance flexibility suitable for day or night shooting. The air rifle is equipped with a tactical composite stock with a custom-molded fore piece and palm swell grip area, allowing for maximum control. The rifle's fully adjustable tactical comb includes a raised cheek piece that provides instant sight picture adjustment using the optical or the included fiber optic fixed sights. And the receiver is topped with a precision 3-9x40 scope anchored by a solid Gamo one-piece rail mount. The scope is fitted with a powerful, fully adjustable precision laser/light that quickly readies the Socom Tactical for night operations.
The Socom Tactical also includes a 26-inch barrel made of precision-rifled steel shrouded in a fully composite, jacketed, fluted polymer bull barrel. To minimize noise, the barrel is fitted with the Gamo ND52 noise-dampening muzzle damper. Combined with outstanding velocity of nearly 1,200 feet per second with PBA Platinum .177 ammo, the Socom Tactical is fully capable of handling backyard varmint incursions 52 percent quieter than a standard spring rifle.

overrated,
April 24, 2011 This review is from: Gamo Socom Tactical .177 Air Rifle with Mounts and Scope (Sports)
This rifle is a disappointment on many levels...
*The barrel is too flexible to be associated with the word "precision".
*It won't hold zero and seems to lose power after a few days.
*The laser and light are so worthless they're not even worth the effort to mount them
At well over $150 more than a Daisy Powerline, the Daisy is a far better rifle. This rifle is more of a toy than a precision instrument.

Very disappointing! won't hold a group.
50 rounds and a 12 inch group is the best we could do, even with iron sights.
A gunsmith and I assembled the scope and it was maxed out on the elevation.
Scope is not a 9X and the trigger is NOT adjustable on my rifle.
I plan to return.

LASER for LC4X32WR is broken already, the battery with it inside was with water and had rotted out for a long time ago, and then I have put a new three lithium batteries in that laser, still nothing happened.
Packing was too small, They used only a thin layer of plastic to wrap the box. and
