easy to load and its got pretty good speed too! will go through a tin can at 20ft! we live in the tropics so its a plus that most of the rifle is covered with plastics! my 10yr old daughter loves to shoot with it but she still needs to grow a little so the stock does not need to be placed under her arm! seems to be hitting exactly where she aims! i put a scope & mount of my own on it from another rifle and it is fun for all of us to go plinking! its the shortest rifle we have and the easiest to open and load! most girls can load this one from a young age if you want them to learn marksmanship this is a good start!

I bought this for my 8-yr. old daughter to teach her to shoot, as I own a tack-driving Beeman R1 that is simply too heavy for her. I was happy to see that the rifle is really quite well-made (in Spain), and was about right weight-wise for her. However, after setting up a pellet trap about fifteen yards away in the backyard, I saw that with the sights as they were set up at the factory, the rifle was shooting about a foot high and to the right of the little paper target. So I adjusted it to shoot lower and to the left, but now the play on the rear sight is quite extreme, and it still was shooting to the right. When I brought the trap closer to her (about fifteen feet away), she was able to hit the target near center, as was I.
So, again, a really nice-looking little airgun that could be improved with better sights - which I am likely to do.

I had previously ordered the Remington pink air rifle but was disappointed with the power.
Then I ordered the Gamo Lady Recon...What a difference! Great power, enough to handle my needs. Really good accuracy even without a scope, although I don't understand why the same gun in any different color other than pink (actually more of a lilac purple) comes with a scope at the same price.
All in all Gamo IS the best! And this pellet gun comes at a reasonable price for this much power.
