The Single-Action Army Revolver was produced in several forms and many calibers from 1872 to 1940, with production totalling about 350,000 pieces. As its introduction coincided with the settlement of the Wild West, the names Peacemaker and Frontier Six-Shooter were popularized. Used by legends like Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickock, Pat Garret and Bat Masterson it was also the weapon of choice for settlers in the West during the late 19th century. The Cavalry Models relatively long barrel provided excellent accuracy in capable hands. This non-firing version has a functional lock mechanism, with a revolving cylinder and working ejector system.

This replica pistol is perfect for Halloween or costume play. It has good weight, size and moving parts. Overall I would give this a 5 star rating for looks, feel and quality of build for price.
I purchased this replica after buying, recieving and returning a cheap plastic look-a-like pirate pistol for my Halloween costume this year. I am extrememly happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic pirate pistol- or anyone looking for a good quality replica.
The pistol has real wood housing, real metal barrel and actual moving parts like trigger and hammer. It truely brings the authenticity I was looking for.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son. He loves it. The flash pan, however, was a bit loose when it arrived. Overall, though, a great gift.
