Daisy Outdoor Products 953 TargetPro Kit (Black, 39.75 Inch)

This single pump pneumatic air rifle makes me grin ear to ear. At about 30 ft it easily puts pellets in a group small enough that the holes all overlap (and the .177 caliber rounds leave tiny holes.) It feels solid weighing about 6.5 lbs. The plastic parts are smooth and well made though some of the metal components aren't machined perfectly. The rubber clips and single shot loaders seem solid if a little imprecisely made. The clips, which hold 5 shots, can actually slide around while in the rifle and it's difficult to tell when the clip is empty. Loaded pellets via the single shot loader can take some careful coordination and can easily fall out until the bolt is closed.

The 6lb trigger press feels a little bit heavy for true precision shooting but good for preventing beginners from mistakenly firing. Our 11 year old granddaughter loves this air rifle. She is only allowed to use it with adult supervision, but can hit bull's eyes and 9's on her targets and is very happy with it. She had a Daisy BB gun before and was very accurate with it, but with this one, her accuracy has improved even more. It is a bit heavy for her, but that doesn't stop her. I just wish the magazine held more than 5 pellets.

this gun is accuarte. after i scoped it I can hit a 1.5 inch target at 100 yards. only bad thing is you cant hunt with it. it teaches small animals a leson but does no real damage at a distance of 15 yards or greater.
