Daisy Outdoor Products Pink Fun Kit Boxed (Pink/Black, 35.4 Inch)

We live in Texas, where guns are a way of life. My daughter (6yr.) has been begging to shoot a gun "like dad" for awhile. After careful consideration this is what my husband landed on. This gun has zero kick - perfect for a little girl. The only downside is priming the gun. Our daughter cannot do it on her own (though after writing that perhaps that's not a negative)! This has been a great tool to help reinforce gun safety as well as an opportunity for some father-daughter bonding. And it's pink - just what every little girl wants!

It's great that Daisy has a BB gun for the girls. My 11 year old granddaughter loves to shoot my husband's Red Ryder and, come Christmas, she'll have one of her own that suits her feminine style. The targets and accessories will have her ready to go. It's a good way to teach her respect and safety while having fun and a sense of accomplishment. The spring-air system doesn't have the range of an air rifle but provides a satisfying "ding" when shooting at pie plates or cans. She may not make the Olympic team but we'll have lots of backyard fun.

Okay, this gun is a blast. "Santa" got it (not the kit, just the gun) for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas this year. She was slow to like it, it is a bit heavy for her and she has to arch her back to make it work because the butt is pretty long. Once I took her out to shoot some cans, she was hooked. I have to cock it for her, she is physically capable but after one time it is so rough it wears her out. After about 20-30 I'm wore out. Anyway, when I set up the cans and took her out, she hit her first one...and every one after (until the weight of the gun started wearing on her she started missing). I try to help her by putting my hand under so it isn't so heavy. Anyway, I love it. I think I have more fun than her. Every once in a while it will not shoot a bb even though there is one in there and I cocked it at an angle, but it isn't often.
