First of all, I got one at Wal-Mart just like this page shows for $15. So Amazon has a slightly high price. And when I got home and followed the directions this thing wouldn't puncture an aluminum can or even the plastic lid to a styrofoam cup. I was pissed enough to almost smash it as I couldn't get my money back for it being too weak, but then I asked my bud who had an old Marksman that this pistol is based off of.

Turns out, the trick behind these pistols that even the instructions don't tell you to do is to pull the slide out like instructed, but then you push the slide back in. That doubles or triples the sprung strength of the pistol spring and makes it shoot over 450fps for me with .177 BB's. This means it's finally useful against mice and blackbirds. Don't throw one away if you go by instructions and it seems weak, push the slide in and you got a real BB pistol.

I purchased the Powerline 201 pistol with little expectation due to the feedback of others. The Powerline 201 arrived in three days, as I always expected from Amazon. The manual said that no lubrication was required, but I applied a liberal amount because the trigger pull was tight and the slide was stiff. After 200 shots the pistol started to operate much smoother. This pistol was a good buy.

If you are looking for a nice non-co2 pellet/bb gun to ward off rodents and pest, this would be the one to get. Very easy to operate and uses both BB's and .177 caliber pellets. You can load about 35 BB's into it or single load a pellet. I do believe that if you use a pellet, it is a bit more lethal. Good for close up targets. The trigger needs pressure to pull and that can effect hitting a target that is further away. You can also put a targeting scope on the top for accuracy, however it can get in the way of cocking it for the next shot.
