I Have Had This Gun For Over A Year And I Have Yet To Have A Problem With It!!! It Is Perfect For Pest Control (chipmunks, Red Squirrels, Gray Squirrels, Birds, Mice, Even Something As Big As A Porcupine!) I Would Pick One Up At Your Local Wal-Mart Because It Only Costs 40$ And It Includes A Scope! But It Is Still Worth The Price That You Can Buy It For Here!!!!!!!!

I grew up shooting this BB gun. I have shot dozens of pests including rabbits, destructive ground squirrels in California, grey squirrels in Northeastern Arizona etc, etc. I once killed a rattlesnake with it. I found a small airgun scope and had that on the daisy and I could hit a dime from about 60 ft away. Now I'm all grown up and moved away. We have woodpeckers tearing the stuco off my sister's house, and I trust that BB gun so much I am buying one today. I prefer this type over a one cock pellet rifle for the fact that I can control the velocity a little better. One cock with a pellet rifle and you get around 1,000 FPS! Theat's too much for shooting near the side of my house! But with the Daisy Powerline 880, I can pump it 3 or 4 times or 10(I remember pumping my old one about 12, but I think they only recommend 10 pumps max). Anyway, it always did the job. My only regret is not taking it away to college with me, because that's when it disappeared! It shoots bb's, pellets...Read more

to operate this rifle, one first chambers a single pellet or bb ... then pumps a manual air compressor to power the shot ... then aims and shoots. It is powerful to be a good target gun. The quality of construction is reasonable solid and durable. We judge it to be a good value, for the price.
If you think you're going to need a second shot to hit the pesky red squirrel, get a CO2 powered gun!
