Summary: Great Sidearm/cqb Airsoft Pistol - fair magazine. 2008-11-06
Comment: I bought this pistol and 2 extra clips for about $50 total. I was impressed immediately by the power and range of the pistol. With .12 gram BBs of high quality it will shoot straight for 80-50 feet depending on how recently you changed CO2. It will shoot at over 400 fps for maybe the first clip or two, and then decline. From moderate experience with airsoft and BB guns as well as advanced firearm ballistics knowledge I would guess that clips 3-10 of ammo will fall in the 380-340 fps range, which I find very acceptable. With .20 gram pellets the fps is at least 40-50 less, but it becomes very hard hitting and longer range capable. At least 25 yards range for many clips. I used crossman ammo in both cases, but the glow in the dark crosman .12 gram ammo was useless and inaccurate after 30 feet. Cammo ammo was my favorite to shoot, because it was straight shooting, long distance, and cheap.

Now for the lowdown. This gun is heavy and feels like a .22-.38 cal. automatic pistol weight wise. It is not blow-back, a quality of this gun which I prefer for function and longevity, as well as CO2 life. The outer body is durable-enough plastic. The trigger is solid and metal, as are the internal parts and the clips. The trigger pull is solid and long, much like a double action revolver, which is an accurate description of its rate of fire. It can be fired fast, with no delay but the speed at which you pull the trigger. I find pulling the trigger so satisfying that I tend to open up 5 shots on someone at a time even if 1-3 were all I needed. The sights are acceptable, and preferred for CQB.

Now for the part that looses this gun one star in my book. The clips are finicky. They are metal spring clips that can be loaded from the middle through a hole, but I find it easier to load from the top by hand or by speed loader. They are slim, as they do not contain the CO2 cartridge. Each holds 15 rounds. The unfortunate part is that the spring may loose power or jam occasionally and the portion on the bottom that allows the clip to be held open will start to slip eventually. Also, the clips are sometimes just bad. My friend has one of these guns, and his clip is almost unusable after 3 months, with spring strength poor. Of my 3 clips, one is in almost similar shape while the other two remain functional and good. I would suggest only loading 14 shots into these clips as this seems to increase spring life and insure the clip will feed properly each time (sometimes with 15 the guns fires without loading a bb the first time or two, a serious annoyance). In addition, never store the clips loaded. I would count on replacing all clips for this gun every 6-9 months if you use the gun a lot. For $10 for two clips this isn't terrible. The clip's small size makes it easy to carry a lot of them. The gun itself will last for years, although the grip cover maybe break if you slam it around a lot (easy to avoid :P ). It serves an aesthetic purpose though anyways.

Bottom line, if you are serious about a QCB gun, a back-up pistol, or a gun to plink with for pistol training, you can't do better than this gun for the price. Even a CO2 pistol that costs twice as much will barely outperform this gun in function and will fall short in terms of CO2 life. If you want to get the most out of your CO2 cartridge, you may get 200-250 shots out with the last 50 somewhere above 200 fps. If you want to scare your friends, they will soon learn that they should take cover when you point this thing in their direction during a battle. They will be waiting for you to reload to make the next move (you need extra clips for this reason). As a final note, this gun hurts way too much for t-shirt and goggles backyard wars. I use a Sig Sauer licensed P226 springer for that, and that still hurts almost too much. This gun is also way ahead of the game for any spring rifle replica or LPEG/MPEG, and .20 gram BBs will travel considerably farther than 100 feet with the ability to provide cover fire to an area or position. In QCB, a large "Oww!, #$%*!" will make it clear you have gotten a hit. In addition, the noise each shot makes is seriously more intimidating than the sewing machine sound of an AEG. I am glad I bought this gun. Remember, safety gear (including face portection) is a total must when using an airsoft gun and these are not toys for kids. Thanks for reading!

Summary: Okay for a week 2008-08-04
Comment: This was a great gun for a week or so, but then the o-ring that keeps the gas from leaking broke. I would recommend that you stay away from the Crosman brand. They are cheap, but most of the time unreliable.

Summary: Ok gun, kinda cheap 2008-07-07
Comment: this gun is a good gun! But, about a month after i bought it the place where you put the CO2 chipped! I was disappointed. They wouldn't even let me return it. This is a cheap gun.

Summary: Scary little gun 2008-01-14
Comment: This is a nifty little gun. All plastic but weights alot more then it looks. Very straight shooting aswell, easily accurate at 50 ft. only problems I have with it are the CO2 cover coming off from the handle and its clip size. While I only have one mag, in the field under fire I went through 15 rounds as fast as I could reload them. However, I would strongly recommend this gun to anyone starting out inm airsoft.
