Looks like a .45 Colt...and just as accurate! Made in Germany by the legendary Weihrauch company, the Beeman P1 is considered by many to be the Holy Grail of air pistols. This is an heirloom airgun that you'll pass along to your grandchildren and beyond. The gun's heft and balance convey quality and substance. It fills your hand without feeling bulky or oversized. The unusual overlever cocking mechanism compresses the powerful mainspring, and the hammer is actually the catch for it. The fully adjustable rear sight (fiber optic front & rear) and the highly adjustable two-stage trigger, which has a serrated surface for more control, will help you extract maximum accuracy from the P1. In fact, the adjustable trigger is so crisp, you'll wish it was on your firearms. Unlike many modern air pistols, the P1 isn't made of molded synthetics. It's a solid metal gun with finely checkered walnut grips. And, it's truly ambidextrous. The 11mm dovetails make it easy to mount a pistol scope or a red dot sight. The .177 version of the P1 has two power levels. Low power is approx. 380 fps, and high or full power is 600 fps. The different power levels are created by cocking the gun to different lock points. The distance you shoot, the weight of the pellet and the type of target will determine which power level is best. The P1 is an excellent indoor trainer for those who shoot the M1911A1.... I have had this gun for about 25 years. At times it has gone two years or so without being used (never put up without oiling a little. Not much care at all...left in out door sunroom, or in the cellar for many years. THIS GUN STILL WORKS AS IF JUST TAKEN OUT OF THE BOX!!! Reciently I was given another air pistol as a gift, and as my interest in air guns was rejuvinated, I dug out my old P1. PERFECT!

I have 2 .177 caliber pellet riles, and 1 .22 caliber pellet rifle. I had been wanting to purchase a pellet pistol, but had given up because I thought the best ones were CO2 powered. And as I live in South Dakota, and the fact you cannot shot them below 50 degrees, like I said I had given up, until I meet a person from New York through the reviews I have on PA's website about the NPSS Remington .177 pellet rifle. He turned out to be a very knowlegable person when it comes to pellet pistols. He owns three of them, the Beeman P-1, Beeman P-3 and the Diana LP-8. I first tried the LP-8, but being almost 63 years old it was just to heavy for me, so he said send it back and try the P-1 and you won't be sorry. I have owned the P-1 for around a week now, and don't have it fully broken in yet, probably have put 5 to 6 hundred rounds through it. I am shooting at 35' in my basement, and am already getting some very good groups shooting into a 1 1/2" bulls eye. The manual says that the spring...Read more
